They are planning to remove bike lanes from these streets:

  • Bloor
  • Yonge
  • University Ave
  • Queen's Park Crescent
  • Avenue Road

The first 3 were already proposed last year, but a provincial judge temporarily blocked it. This year they've proposed removal from two more streets.

Removing bike lanes from Uni Ave is criminal. It is used by many students. So sad.

Thanks for listing it all out!

It is used by just as many healthcare workers too who were the primary driver behind getting them built. Mount Sinai Hospital and Sick Kids strongly opposed Bill 212. It will clog the roads with car traffic and those who continue to cycle will be in danger.

63% of Mount Sinai Hospital staff cycle to work.
