@NichEherVielleicht Philosophy is telling the scientist how to use a 'flashlight' in the first place and this whole setup is metaphysics. Even a theologist would know that.
Science is undergirded by philosophy. You don’t do science without first having done philosophy.
That's one way of thinking about it. There are plenty others, and it's not clear which is right.
