Exact same thing happened 8 years ago. It's still shocking to me that Trump got even a single vote after his ridiculously poor performance last time.
~37% of the country just wants to "trigger the libs" by any means necessary, even if that means they'll be eating shit. That recent Jubilee video shows that perfectly, with that one guy openly calling himself an autocrat and a fascist, then laughing about it while everyone else claps.
