Your cats are toothless because your vet's cat has an autoimmune disease?
Oh! Sorry! Well, kind of. The first vet said how to treat this common gangivitis with meds, the other vet said that we need to remove the teeth now, otherwise we’ll need meds the cat‘s whole life and even then we might end up having to remove the teeth when they’re older because the body’s reaction is too aggressive.
This article is from 2010 - a lot more research has been done since then and I think it’s amazing. But it still persists: if untreated, the cat suffers hard.
