A sentiment shared by right wing voters across the globe is that crime isn't crime if you can get away with it, because then you are "smart".
My grandfather was a state trooper. He always told me, "It's only illegal if you get convicted."
You'll only be punished for the illegal act if you get convicted. And aren't a Republican in power.
