The Epstein list. He basically said it was fake. He's always been an asshole as far as I'm concerned, but I've usually agreed with his political tweets (or whatever he uses that people post). I have no loyalty to him, and find it strange that he would claim it was made up.
Does it make his books worse?
It makes it suspect that the books may have been written by a pedophile (overlooking things like the orgy in IT). Odd thing to defend the Epstein files if you aren't one.
Tbh IT is a pretty strong argument for that... I have only hazy memories from when I read it as a child (very age-appropriate book lol 👌), but I still remember several scenes of children doing sexual activities. Looking back, I don't think any of it was needed for the story to work - if not a paedo, King was probably drugged out of his mind when he wrote it.
I'm not sure I understand how saying something doesn't exist is defending it?

There's been talk of it for YEARS, but still nothing has come of it. To me it seems like a coverup, but I'm a paranoid conspiratorialist. Its not exactly a leap for someone else to conclude that it hasn't come out because it doesn't exist. So how is not believing in something defending it?

That's you being ignorant and burying your head in the sand (mostly applies if you're American, you get a little more leeway if you're not). The Epstein files are supposed to at the very least contain a client list of people who went to the island, who most could come to the conclusion were only there to rape children. Any more questions, look it up, it is very reported on
"Supposed to". According to?... Also, must be the fucking dumbest criminal, having a list of their partners and clients with full names all written down.
