Just wondering why the "midwest" icon leaves off part of the midwest.

You're not the first person to bring that up lol. I just updated it with a better representation. If you have any pics you'd like to suggest feel free to put them in this thread.

Oh no, that broke the icon that displays in the browser tab and therefore the icon for the bookmark. :(

How about this one? It has a transparency layer and may work better (not sure what makes it appear in the browser tab properly, though) -
