I’ll bite, as someone who’s been on the internets for almost 25 years. What is it?

EDIT: I’m not trying to be snide or antagonistic, Imm genuinely curious because with the influx of post-3PA Redditors, I’m seeing dumb memes and I feel distressed about finding myself relating to that whingy-old HAM/FreeBSD guy on IRC.
