I signed up for Lemmy but I didn't really enjoy a lot of the apps out. Now that Sync is here I am 100% here now.
That's why I'm now here. I was waiting for Sync to be released. I bought the Ultra version to support the dev.
Sync is honestly the only thing that made me aware of Lemmy. I signed up a few days ago, and heard about it weeks ago, but today I can start using it more actively.
I used Sync for reddit, and I've been using Connect for Lemmy. Is Sync for Lemmy better than Connect?
Connect for Lemmy was pretty good but Sync for Lemmy feels like home.

I love Lemmys existence, I am devoted to Sync. The release guarantees I will be active daily moving forward.
I thought posting from it wasn't working yet, so I can't see that it would be increasing activity.
Well, it makes it a lot more user friendly again! Was waiting for it.
I've had Lemmy for months now but never felt like actually posting much because the clients were just not very good. I'll be posting more now that I have Sync, although the prices for premium versions are frankly obscene.

Yep, I'm here because of Sync. I made an account beforehand but now I'm actually using Lemmy.
Just wait and watch reddit... Now that 3rd party devs are unleashing stuff... This should take off. Hopefully joey app's lemmy rendition shows up as well! ๐ค๐ป
Yep. For me it's got me using Lemmy more... I hope that more communities from reddit start to move over.
Anecdotally, it became much more active when Reddit switched the API a month ago. The existence of https://old.lemmy.world/ later also helped probably.
I don't know if Lemmy is more active now, but I do see some new accounts so there's that.
I was on Lemmy 2 months ago and haven't been back since. Using Firefox on my phone was just too slow for someone who was spoiled by Baconreader on Reddit.
With Sync, I think I'll come around more often.
I definitely used Lemmy a lot more today than I normally do. Sync for Lemmy is just so much more polished than everything else I have tried using to access Lemmy previously.
I was waiting for it lol
