My colorization work this time comes from the U.S. National Archives. It's of Motor Machinists Mate Third Class Chester Jones Jr. meeting with his father Capt. Jones Sr. It was taken as he was came home from the Normandy Landings.

MM3 Jones served onboard one of the rescue cutters during the landings. These rescue cutters were able to save more then 1,400 men from drowning and certain death in the English Channel.
