Anyway. I think GNOME is okay for not supporting server side decorations because you can do the chad move of writing the program with a libadwaita front end. I'd prefer a native csd rather than a artificial libadwaita header or gtk3 header bar and applications should just bring their own header bars and default to it when it detects it's being run on GNOME.

People who just understood what I said, wdyt? I think the CSD and SSD argument is just people making assumptions on what a compositor de is supposed to deliver on based on what proprietary os' do. I know some programa (like factorio) get fucked over because they don't bring a bar but maybe that's just a skill issue because Windows will always give you a bar so most people don't think about it.

So it's not anything that I've done wrong that's broken my mouse software, NixOS just pushed a bad update to stable for some reason. Got pretty cocky so I declared one of the Awakened Empires in my Stellaris game my rival.

They declared war sooner than I expected, and things got ugly fast. They had 7 or 8 fleets with tons and tons of battleships, like 20 battleships per fleet juiced up by three times as many repeatables as I did. I thought I was going to get cooked until I realized my dimensional fleet (God bless psionic ascension) could tank while my fleets destroyed the enemy. I could only take on one fleet at a time so I decided to bait them out with weak fleets in their northern border, then strike at their lone fleets. That strategy helped me take most of their territory and I ended up weakening them to just 3 fleets and 3 planets by the time my dimensional fleet expired. After that point I had maxed out my war exhaustion so I began a mad hunt to gank all their fleets and invade their planets at all costs, before I had to surrender. I took some heavy losses (basically lost half my entire fleet) but I eventually got all of them... until I realized those sneaky fellas actually had colonized 2 systems across the galaxy during the war. I think it's a Nazis fleeing to Argentina situation. Good news is, I'm only getting stronger.

It's been really cool being a social and active person again, but I keep accumulating projects now and I'm gonna have to be really careful more than I already have.

Finished the first pass on three pages of this comic and I think they'll work but I have given myself pretty involved panels to paint. Thinking about doing them a lot bigger and then somehow arranging them to fit the layouts. But then I gotta be careful with line weight. Maybe I can just figure out how big I wanna go and then enlarge my layout sketches. It's going to take so fucking long to do these nice. Haven't decided if I'll go with black and white or color. Color is sort of more work, but it's hard to break with that idea after seeing how gorgeous Blacksad was. But I also don't want to spend like a year making this little short story I think. I dunno. Lots of decisions.
