The vote wasn't even close and people knew what they were voting for. The language was clear. These theocratic fascists just want to obviate any progress for women.

The people want something and they elected us to represent them. But what they want is wrong and we know better than they do. Let us correct them by writing a law against the thing they wanted. /s

This is a regular thing in Missouri. The people pass something and the GOP overturns it. Missouri's first forays into changing the legal status of cannabis were one of the better examples.
