I like Estonian Kelluke, a local carbonated lemonade. Probably mostly meant for kids, but hey...

Uk. Dandelion and Burdock.

It's closest equivalent would be root beer, but it's quite distinct from that.

Sadly, almost all UK soft drinks taste like shit now because of the Sugar Tax, where they've been reformulated to use more artificial sweeteners to avoid being taxed more heavily.

Iceland has Appelsin, which is like Tango before they took all the sugar out.

In Portugal, we have a few drinks like:

SumolA fruity carbonated drink, more popular in the summer
CompalCloser to natural juice
Kima (only available in the Azores)Soft fruity taste and lightly carbonated. Very refreshing

If I'm not mistaken they're all produced in Portugal

Edit: I forgot a couple!

BongoSugared up juice fruit marketed to young people, loved by all

BrisaFruity soda with a lighter taste than Sumol imo

Laranjada (available mostly in Madeira)Only tried it once, hard to describe, but tastes like a lab made orange juice

The Portuguese bakery in my neighborhood got me addicted to Sumol. Also pairs nicely with some dark rum...

You also have Brisa (passion fruit soda, similar to Lima) and Laranjada (orange soda) from Madeira

Chinotto is so great. I wish they'd sell it in Germany as well :(

[โ€“] gabelstapler@feddit.org 2 points 1 month ago (2 children)

You can get it in some bigger supermarkets, at least I do. San Pellegrino chinotto

[โ€“] passenger@lemm.ee 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Iโ€™m not from Malta but when I used to go as a kid I always looked forward to drinking Kinnie. It had a weird, but nice, taste. For a time you could get it in the UK, but itโ€™s not the same without the sun.

@Sunshine
Regina - very special lemonade. You can mix it with beer to "Tango".

Is the label black or clear?

I like the minimalism. So much less 'in your face' like other top brands.
