dumb poem
Nightmares are burned away at first light,
My dreams are rare but worth the fight.
Puss slept-guard on my doona and chest,
Better-Half's snoring scared off the rest.
Wake and piss like a broken hydrant,
I might take off, missing the toilet.
Coffee in my hand, heater in my face,
Catch up on this thread at a steady pace.
Thank you for sharing pics of your cats,
I saw them all and want to give them all pats!
Love you all, amazing humans you all are,
Stay beautiful, stay excellent, you all raise the bar.

Butter and Biscoff spread toast is straight gangster
Biscoff is the devil's nectar. If I could have my way, there'll always be an open jar in the kitchen with a spoon in it. But I don't think it's fiscally and metabolically responsible..
Travel tip: I'm writing this because I didn't know this service existed so maybe others don't know either.
LT;DR version: pre-purchase international SIM cards from Melbourne-based online store so you can use mobile data with decent data caps as soon as you land overseas.
Long version: (I'll use spoiler tag to avoid a huge text post appearing by default)

Did you know there are services where you can pre-purchase international SIM cards before you travel, which will be activated on the date you specify? When I've travelled internationally in the past, I have gone SIM hunting after I've arrived, which can take a few hours off your day and can be tricky if you've landed somewhere where you don't speak the language and need to use your phone's navigation without any service (real life experience for me in France 2017 trying to drive myself to a convenience store in the suburbs near Lille). I'm not even going to entertain the idea of roaming with my Aussie SIM. I need more data than the piddly amounts they overcharge for. I also don't need to be contactable via phone or SMS on my Aussie number while OS. Apps all use push notifications for authentication (banking, microsoft, google, etc)
Anywho, cut to planning for my upcoming US trip and I find out there's a Melbourne based SIM store called simcorner who I was able to buy an UNLIMITED DATA 30 day T-Mobile SIM through for $67 AUD. It took a few days to arrive but I've now received and registered it for activation which should happen while I'm in the air on my way to LAX in August. All I need to do is swap SIMs on the plane and when I land I'll be up and running right away. No muss. No fuss.

Spent 3 hours at the hairdressers today, only 45 mins of which was the actual cut. Think I'll try somewhere else next time. Recovering from some dead lifting today and just gonna do some bathroom and kitchen cleaning at pace.
I think that's the first bit of REM I've had in a few weeks. Crazy dreams but I'll take them.
One more cup of tea, then time to get stuck into the basement
Good morning folks! I wanted to sleep in but now that the work sleep schedule is a thing, I woke up at 9am :c
Oooooh momma.
I've mentioned that the house is built on a hill, so it's raised. I've also mentioned we have the 6mx3m underhouse basement area that's plumbed and wired as it was a ground level laundry (now claimed by His Lordship as his brewery) . But. Uh did i mention the subfloor area separate to that? About 2m head clearance that expands literally under the rest of the entire house?
'Cos when i said 'working on basement' today, that's what i was talking about. Ima gonna need more shelves......

How much do y'all spend on hair? By that I mean going to a place to get a cut or whatever you need to do e.g. colour etc.
Abandon all plans ye who wake up on this miserable day
Unfortunately by the time I was awake I was already at work. No point calling in sick now.
Pita makes an amazing bread for a breakfast rap. Dunno why, but it totally works!
