Lanolin, used in some beauty products and also lubricants, gives me a specific memory of a neighbor when I was young. She was a sweet old lady and owned a harpsichord, and would let me come over and play pretty much whenever I wanted, as long as I finished off by playing "some Bach, anything Bach." I think some part of it needed a lanolin oil, because that's all I could smell when I was playing weird little Star Wars themes (before finishing with "some Bach, anything Bach).

Blood. I used to nose bleed frequently. I remember how the blood turned into lumps and of course the smell of my own blood.
Hoppes #9 (for cleaning firearms). Dad was in the army and would come home smelling like it.
