No really. That's my whole answer.

I'm pretty okay. I'm a software developer, and work in embedded linux, but I'm not great. I daily drive NixOS, but I don't really tinker with it.

I’m a bit above your average millennial. No tech background, just figuring things out on my own whenever shit goes wrong. I know how to very generally diagnose the issue and then search for the relevant troubleshooting instructions. I’m the easy phone call that your IT guy likes getting, i.e. not a complete idiot lol. I know what a VPN is and how to pirate games and movies. I managed to figure out the Fediverse!

Better than average, but that's not saying much.

I built my last three computers ( which basically means I can read and follow instructions and successfully match up plugs and sockets and devices and slots), and I can generally track down and sort out simple bugs. And I can generally work out how to use software (I taught myself to do 3D modeling, for instance). But that's the extent of it - as soon as it gets more complex than that, I'm hopelessly lost.

I can read error messages then Google it. Google has become shit lately so my ability to actually fix something is limited. If someone else puts together a hardware list that's known to work together, I'm good at putting the parts together although I hate doing it, scares me. I often find weird confusing bugs that upset IT.

Fine, I guess? I have no problem learning new stuff, although most of the things at my house are quite outdated.

So, to answer your question I would say it all depends the tech you're considering.

I have no difficulty at all using many various analog/low tech(nologies). But something makes me think you're more interested in getting some info about my relationship with the so-called 'high' tech, all those electronics gizmo, plethora apps and online services, constant tracking and spying, right?

Well, I can proudly say I'm good with it as well. We both get along very well.

How do I know? First, I never talk bad to it, also I have never ever thrown any device out the window, even when it more than deserved it with its relentless bugs, updates and quirks. Second, I use 'high' tech as little as I can, and never things using an algorithm to serve me content (hence me using the Fediverse instead of... everything else). I use 'high' tech so little it doesn't get much opportunity to ruin my mood, either. Most certainly, you will agree this is irrefutable demonstration tech and I are BFF, and how good I'm with with it. Right? ;)
