There's a progression for me where i start with trash, upgrade for better stats/fashion, and then strip naked except a funny hat and start throwing down my summon sign.
Soulslike - Discussion, News, Memes
This is a community for discussion, news, and memes pertaining to the video game sub-genre "soulslike".
Given Lemmy's size, the definition of soulslike may be treated relatively loosely. While games like the numerous FromSoft titles, the recent Star Wars Jedi games, Lies of P, Nioh and similar games should be the focus, games that incorporate soulslike elements - like Hollow Knight and Blasphemous, for example - may also be discussed here.
Basic Lemmy-quette applies. Additionally, since flairs don't exist yet, please do make sure to include a marker to denote what game your post is about in square brackets for clarity's sake. An example could be:
[BB] This enemy is so difficult!
or
[DS1] Anyone struggling with the gargoyles?

Fashion is the most important stat.
Elden Bling 💅
I find the fashion a fun way to reduce the options in a game with so many options. My main priority are the stats, but as I get further into the game and decisions get trickier, fashion is a real help. Like "if I use this sword, I'll be over encumbered. Hmm, but maybe if I switch out my armour to this lighter one that also fits my style better..."
I was wondering if it was just me. I used basically the same gear the entire game since everything I found either didn't fit with my build or just wasn't clearly better.
Armor does nothing, raise VIT instead.
True in ds3. But it is actually significant in ER.
Im nowhere near good enough to survive without Poise
