@Hammerjack it is sad as I’ve enjoyed each one more than the previous.
Cyberpunk
What is Cyberpunk?
Cyberpunk is a science-fiction sub-genre dealing with the integration of society and technology in dystopian settings. Often referred to as “low-life and high tech,” Cyberpunk stories deal with outsiders (punks) who fight against the oppressors in society (usually mega corporations that control everything) via technological means (cyber). If the punks aren’t actively fighting against a megacorp, they’re still dealing with living in a world completely dependent on high technology.
Cyberpunk characteristics include:
- Dystopian city setting where mega-corporations rule
- Full integration of technology into society, featuring cybernetic implants
- Outsider protagonists (punks) who often are very familiar with the technology around them
- Hard boiled detective and film noir vibes and influence
- Themes dabbling in trans-humanism, existentialism, and what it means to be human.

Tron: Arse would be a better name for the new installment
jared leto is probably the reason, so much so hes the only one on the front cover, and no women wants to be nex tto him.
I fee like these movies are aimed at someone like me, a tech nerd that loves action movies and rides a motorcycle. But somehow, these movies don't resonate with me at all. IMHO the plot is weak, half of the time the movie doesn't make any sense, it just feels like a random vibe movie which just isn't for me.
Tron and Legacy both made double their budget, tron made 50 million on a 17 million budget and Legacy made 400 on a 170 million budget.
I would only consider a movie a bomb if it fails to make it's money back...
Something like Speed Racer (2008), which is an awesome movie, but only made 93 million on a 120 million budget.
