I've been using OnePlus for years now and I'm considering getting a Pixel phone next since I love their UI and design. I was wondering if someone else here has also made the jump from the OnePlus to the Pixel family and if you can tell me what you like and what you may or may not miss.

I bought OP 9pro just after launch and liked it until OP was taken over by Oppo and they switched to ColorOS. Most of the software bugs including some serious ones were still there when software support ran out.

So far I really like the Pixel 10 and have only found minor irritations, for instance there's no way to disable the Google search bar in the stock Pixel launcher. Some of the other UI changes aren't ideal, but overall it is a far nicer experience than OP provided even when new. The performance is fine, as is the battery life (not a gamer though.) Best of all, unlike OP's products Pixels be used with any carrier instead of OP's carrier specific hardware.

Bottom line - there isn't a single thing I miss about my OP phone.

Are they still doing that? FFS.

It's one of the main reasons I've immediately added an alternate launcher on both Pixels I've had (P2P and P6P). It's just so ugly to have it there all the time.

Yes, OP7pro --> Pix6pro

Pixel hardware is solid.

Yesterday, upgraded to a Pix8 due to the 6pro overheat/glitch issues(You can research overheat issues before purchase).

Running GrapheneOS on both, which is a polished experience. Segregate apps with separate user accounts.

I prefer the smaller form-factor of previous OP2/OP5T/OP7Pro, which is why I got the PIX8 rather than 8Pro.

Moved from mid-range OnePlus to a-model Pixel with GrapheneOS. It's much better, don't miss anything. There was no LineageOS for that OnePlus yet, every OnePlus app would scream at you if you turn off Google Play Services, had some unreproducible bugs with GPS failing, log files filling up disk space, and killed any non-whitelisted background apps. GrapheneOS works as I expect it too, and with the exception of Google+carrier suddenly killing RCS, I did not have any issues.

I really enjoy pixel devices but I must warn you, they are for everyday people on their leisure or at work. Not so much gamers nor "powerusers".

Yes it's got good cameras, AI features, nice aesthetics, simple and basic UI... But snapdragon is still generations ahead of tensors in speed, battery life, graphical capacity etc.
