Congrats on turning gay πŸ₯³πŸŽ‰

[–] MelodiousFunk@slrpnk.net 62 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

...you can get the gay from balloons now??? I thought they just temporarily made my voice all squeaky.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 55 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

That squeaky voice is the heterosexuality leaving your body.

[–] SanctimoniousApe@lemmings.world 6 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

So if I only take half of it in, does that mean I can switch hit at will?

[–] Im_old@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Ahem, taking half of it in I'd say you're halfway there 😁

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

What if I take two, but they're both only halfway in? Still only counts as half right?

[–] SanctimoniousApe@lemmings.world 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I think that'd be... ahem ... stretching things.

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

You'd be surprised.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 27 points 2 weeks ago

Happy gayduation.

[–] Thedogdrinkscoffee@lemmy.ca 102 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

But it does mean they are proud of you. Congrats! I am too.

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

Thanks, StinkyFingerItchyBum! I'm...proud of you, too!

[–] skisnow@lemmy.ca 40 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

A few years later: β€œdang, they knew all along”

[–] Blackmist@feddit.uk 15 points 2 weeks ago

They were definitely laughing in the shop when they picked that out.

[–] FishFace@piefed.social 28 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

What's it like having parents who are proud of you?

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 11 points 2 weeks ago

"I fell so full of - what's the opposite of shame?"

"Pride?"

"No, not that far from shame."

"Less shame?"

"Yeah!"

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

I bet the balloons must be nice to get, at least.

[–] Thedogdrinkscoffee@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I'll have you know I had to change my shirt thanks to this. Anyone know what gets out coffee stains?

[–] FishFace@piefed.social 2 points 2 weeks ago

Oh, you can keep the shirt off, I prefer it that way, StinkyFingerItchyBum

[–] Wilco@lemmy.zip 18 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

They could just be gay for you.

Get your minds out of the gutter ... gay means happy!

[–] Tedesche@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I’m pretty sure no Elizabethan ever said, β€œI’m so gay for thee,” as an expression of happiness or support. Your phrasing is therefore pretty locked in as β€œyour parents want the gay incest with you,” so maybe you owe OP an apology?

Just sayin’.

[–] village604@adultswim.fan 3 points 2 weeks ago

It's pretty amazing that you have the entirety of Elizabehean interpersonal communications in a parsable format.

[–] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 14 points 2 weeks ago

I think it's nice.

[–] KillerWhale@orcas.enjoying.yachts 13 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

So, how do I say this...Your parents know something you don't know, yet.

[–] ExcaliburtheHero@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

They found OP's browser history

[–] DagwoodIII@piefed.social 10 points 2 weeks ago

See, Trump is right! College turns you gay!

[–] capuccino@lemmy.world 7 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

That's how the language is deformed. I often ask to my wife why there is no LGBT people when we watch Pride and Prejudice.

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 16 points 2 weeks ago

Those guys were supposed to be straight!?

I fail to see a problem.

Own it.

[–] MehBlah@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I really like it that your parents didn't know.

[–] rumschlumpel@feddit.org 2 points 2 weeks ago

That's what I was thinking! I'd assume that any regular fox news watcher would know that "pride" in rainbow colors is code for them evil, demonic gays.

[–] ChomFink@leminal.space 2 points 2 weeks ago

Why talk to people when you can just make stuff up?

What degree?

[–] Isa@feddit.org 1 points 2 weeks ago

If a kid is ashamed of its parents … I'd pity the kid rather than the parents.
