I just think they look so good, better than men where I live. And I mean the facial aesthetics and a few other things. I don't mean actors, but men I see in street polls or in english language learning apps, or in homemade porn. There are a lot of things I could say here, but I just want to say that I don't think it's good for me and I'm trying to get rid of it.

women exist on the Internet too. cope.

What's wrong with that? To me, women of some ethnicities are on average significantly more attractive than women of other ethnicities (and the ethnicity I belong to is not the most attractive one) but I don't think that has any moral implications - it's no different from the fact that to me, brunette women are on average significantly more attractive than blonde women.

There's no obligation to have the "type" that you're most attracted to be the group that you belong to yourself.

may be the fact that I will never meet any of them irl? and I not only find them more attractive, there's so much more to it.

There's no use in fighting it. You like what you like, and that's okay. There's nothing wrong with having preferences. It only becomes problematic when your reasons for liking them are ideologically motivated because that hints at a deeper issue, otherwise you're free to like whoever you find attractive for any reason.

That's not okay.

I was gonna suggest going on PeopleofWalmart but apparently that site is gone. I guess you could try looking up rednecks, sovereign citizens, Jan 6th traitors, etc. Their personalities should break you of the fetish if not also their looks.

Strangely enough, it makes me want them even more.

Its pretty common. I mean, look at most anime. The Japanese draw mostly Western looking men.

[–] alina@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I think my case is different tho.

[–] curiousaur@reddthat.com 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I think you'd be surprised how common it is.

[–] alina@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

So you're implying that huge competition should scare me off?πŸ€” That's a good point, actually.

[–] curiousaur@reddthat.com 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Or just don't feel so bad about it. Or embrace it and be happy?

[–] alina@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

How will I be happy dreaming of men I'll never meet?

[–] curiousaur@reddthat.com 1 points 2 days ago

I meant go meet them, get yourself one.
