I'm a med student looking for advice. Most of the time I have multiple apps open such as Notion, Chrome (20+ tabs), Adobe Reader, WhatsApp, and Calendar. During my free-time (during vacation) I tend to play video games such as Minecraft, The Sims 4, and Fortnite.

I don't really know which MacBook would be best for me, considering that it'll have to last at least 5 years.

I currently have a MBA 2018, 16 RAM and 512 GB.

The question is about a MBA M2 and a MBP M3.

I have to agree with the Pro crowd. The Air will also throttle if you start heating up the chip. The Pro has a fan to help keep it cool when it needs it.
