Tom is the real champ now. Jon will come back in a year and fight Stipe, win, and then both will retire. Tom will be the defacto champ or he'll fight Ciryl Gane to cement it.

Yeah it's hard to say, he did eat a lot of elbows. Goddard probably assumed it was a wrap.
That Jiri Reyes knockout is just filthy.
I’m indifferent about the stoppage. He was hurt but, it appeared that Jiri had some more fight in him. On the other hand, Jiri’s body language after the elbows likely didn’t look good from a ref perspective.
Yeah, same. But knowing about his insane chin, Goddard should have let him take a few more..

I think Aspinall would dominate Gane on the ground. I’d still watch it though.
Oh, absolutely. But Gane's speed and evasiveness would make the standup much, much more interesting. Gane's still gonna get his shit mixed, though..
Yeah. I just can’t imagine Gane surviving much longer than he did vs Jones with another well rounded and dynamic opponent. I also can’t think of many other fighters not named Jon Jones that could give Aspinall a really tough fight. Pavlovich seemed like the one with his fuck you power.

Damn sometimes I feel for Dom Reyes, getting robbed against Jones and then those bad KOs.
Yeah I remember when I watched Reyes VS Jones I was FLOORED that they gave it to Jones. The fix is in, that was my first thought.
Reyes had a ton of potential. He’s got a fight coming up. Maybe Dom will turn things around. If he gets flatlined again I hope he hangs it up.
