They went 13-3 last year and lost two fluke games

  1. Superstars QBs have adjusted to the new defensive mindset in the nfl. Josh has not yet.

  2. Bills played through their top 5 defense and special teams 19-21. The defense has been devastated by injuries the past two years (currently #1 in salary cap on IR)

  3. Coaching is good, not great.

That’s kinda it. Everything else is just media narratives and people who don’t know the team.

I'd argue bills have the wrong talent. Shave a bit off the defense and load the offense more. Give Josh Allen a better line and Josh Jacob's, a real running game.

Have a borderline top 10 defense instead and better OLine and running game. It's clear their defense doesn't matter.

It starts with McDermott; NFL teams are a reflection of their head coach. As much as McDermott's sideline demeanor would suggest otherwise, this coaching staff is an unserious operation.

I have a hard time getting too angry with the players when they are saddled with uninspired and predictable schemes, all while the coaching staff makes the kind of amateur game management blunders that an 11-year-old playing Madden would have gotten correct.

Yeah. He's always been a shaky coach with late game situations but the Broncos game was next level.

Obviously it's easy to see with the benefit of hindsight, but the indecisiveness and poor decision-making in key moments were there as early as the Houston playoff loss in January 2020.

I actually find the Bills really likable and Josh Allen is so fun to watch but them getting spanked in the playoffs last year by Cincinnati, at home, after having the game cancelled and all the Damar Hamlin hype was really……pathetic and I am convinced they will never win anything.

They just don’t have it, and they don’t seem to really want it either.

Something has just felt off about them ever since the Bengals playoff game, from the Diggs comments to McDermott's weird handling of the situation.

Listen as a Patriots fan im loving this but lets not act like the Bills are the worst team in the league here, media narrative is really out in full force. I do legitimately think its a major uphill climb the rest of the season for the Bills (obviously), they now essentially have no true DC or OC. Thats kinda nuts

Can’t really judge, haven’t gotten over my ex in 21 months either

[–] IronSavage3@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Oooooooh yes delicious. Best BYE week ever.

[–] ZachTrillson@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that a game that happened 21 months ago doesn't have anything to do with what's happening right now

30 years later, the bills clearly havent gotten over losing four straight superbowls

Lol, Bills are bad again

-the media, probably

Bills may need to be blown up, Keith Olbermann had a great rant with many examples after the Butler interception in SB 49

The real twist here is that Daboll is with the Giants, and while is not the OC, as a HC he’s fielding arguably the worst offense in the league. Whether it’s Jones, Taylor, or DeVito, the offense just is not getting it done.

[–] topchief1@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I just assumed they hadn't gotten over that 4 year period where they went to every super bowl, and have absolutely nothing to show for it.

[–] larrystrawberry@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Everyone is going in on the Bills right now that now I'm expecting them to run the table off pure spite lol

They beat the Chiefs the following year and were 13-3. Maybe if this year happened last year I would believe it, but this just seems like a silly article that started with a premise and worked backwards. If anything, I think getting dominated by Cincy at home in the playoffs last year hurt worse than the 13-second game.
