For me it’s the option to individually lock apps.

I was gonna say USB C, but you made your question too late

A battery that last more than five minutes.

I switched from Android to the 15 Pro Max exactly one week ago, and reading all the features that I'll be missing out on now is making me regret switching.

Headphone jack.

My Huawei had a feature I absolutely loved: nevermind which App I was using, I could swipe from any side of the phone to get back or close the app. I really miss that

Easy sideloading. Not what it is now

[–] Lime-Revolutionary@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Headphone jack!! Now we have the high impedance jacks on most of the mac lineup, I’d love to see the Pro iPhones with one too… hey I can but dream right? 😂

The clock app has very little functionality. The alarms are too easy to silence and the snooze is not adjustable in any way other than on or off. I never can trust solely my iphone to wake me up.

Secure folder

Mimojis are so weird

[–] bergakungen@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The ability to just “drag out” photos from the camera folder when connected to a PC.

After 15 years of iPhone use, it’s still a struggle to copy my photos over to my hard drive and having to go through iTunes which seems to work 25% of the time.

Home button. I honestly have no clue how to use my SO’s X.

Clipboard history manager.

[–] imniahe@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

shortcut: where is the log file? when it executes in the background but fails with unknown errors.

Universal back gesture (like on android)

[–] warlockflame69@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Nice try….Apple product managers, designers, and/or software engineers….

  1. More detailed volume control with the ability to swipe down on the volume slider and adjust the volume for ringtone, alarms, app notifications, all at once (like what android does).

  2. Ability to change how the duration of alarm snoozes (I shouldn’t have to create multiple alarms for this)

  3. Make adding apps to folders on screen 100000x better (do this as an experiment: have a folder in the bottom right of your screen, and try to add an app to it, WITHOUT the folder constantly jumping to the next page of apps. It’s almost impossible).

I want to be able to italicize words!

[–] TDEPCam@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Landscape mode, especially for the Max models

[–] Portatort@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Christ this sub sure loves to pile on about Siri rather than contribute anything useful.

Yeah Siri suuuucks, but that’s not specifically an iPhone thing. It’s an iOS/appleOS thing.

To me the main thing the iPhone lacks is what all smartphones lack, a variable iris camera lens

Video with a 1/8000 shutter in broad daylight is just beyond crazy

But seemingly not Apple or any other hardware manufacturer seems to care

A good torrent downloader

[–] Naus1987@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Apple Pencil support.

I’d kill for pencil support.

I would sketch on the go. And then cloud it to my iPad later!

The ability to close all apps.

Native Clipboard.

[–] SmellySweatsocks@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

To be able to close all open apps with a single button. Maybe IOS 18 will finally bring that feature because that swiping thing has been around since the original android.

[–] collybirb@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

A native app like Termius.

[–] Comprehensive_Diet54@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

120 hz refresh rate on the base models. There are plenty of sub $500 androids that have that refresh rate.

[–] Fr0stbite37@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Splitting audio from different apps.

[–] Ch3ngi5kh4n@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Edge gestures.

[–] talones@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

You can lock apps individually. Would just be under a shared screen time passcode, but it’s definitely doable
