Wow. No case.

[–] flyfishone@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Apple care ?

[–] mredofcourse@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Add me to list of people who don’t understand not having a case. For me it’s not about the cost of repair, as much as it is the increased usability (grip and slip protection) and not having to worry about having a broken phone (especially when traveling).

The case covering up the iPhone? Yeah, hey… look at me… I have something that literally a billion other people have!

Get a case!!!!!!

[–] scarlett_jedi@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I hope you have insurance.

[–] Horror-Ad1448@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Dont fix it, put a case on it (if possible not transparent) and the crack wont be visible and your phone is safe from future drops.

[–] Curious-Asparagus396@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Then why do the camera lens stick out without protection? I have a rokform rugged case and it feels great. I dropped the phone once and it didn’t get damaged.

Do you have Apple Care?

[–] RepMajor@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Apple care + - you don’t need it , until you really need it

[–] vmbient@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Buy Applecare and get a replacement.

But ya you're going to have to pay $300-$400 to get the back glass repaired. Best thing to do is to slap a case on it to cover it up, pretend like it never happened, get a screen protector, and learn from your mistakes. You could also maybe sell it for $400 on marketplace and get a 14 for that price, if you're insecure about it.

The mental pain! And after getting the newest iPhone too! 🫨😱🤦‍♂️

[–] PROchiief@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Why did you do that

[–] Status-Possession-29@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

If you have Apple Care it will cover the repair for $29.

[–] VisableObject01@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Good thing they’re a lot cheaper to fix the back glass

[–] VisableObject01@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Has everyone forgotten that it’s way cheaper to fix back glass, regular iPhone 15 only $169 now

[–] Silvestre074@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Does Apple care covers it?

[–] OverCauliflower1587@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’d get the back fixed and get a clear case. I’ve had my 15 pro max for 2 weeks and if I’m going out I use the case. Otherwise, at home I always use it caseless. I love the thin and light feel you get without the case.

I doubt they can detect a cracked back remotely, so I say get applecare+ (with online diagnosis) while you still can, then wait a couple days and have it repaired. it's technically fraud but fuck it

[–] RG_PhoniQue@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Just slap a DBRAND skin on it or a case. Act like nothing happened.

[–] MSI_heat@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Sometimes I don’t understand why people use iPhones without cases? Omg

[–] Tshuwah-in-Yhwhshua@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Sir it appears that you are financially comfortable, if you had it with no protective case . If so take it to Apple Store , trade it in and buy a new one.

[–] Relative-Diver3087@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Do you have applecare coverage?

[–] MarionberryBudget982@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Never use case. Just pay 500 dollars and get repaired whenever you want. That’s the official way to do it. It doesn’t mess up the feel and touch, the official feel of glass and metal. Thats the only official and intended way of going about it. The officers at Apple can confirm that’s how the phone was designed.

[–] Personal_Sell55@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Hope yu got Apple care, break the front of ya phone too for a brand new device

[–] CousinSam22@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Pay for apple care + then go to apple store and ask to change the back of it.

[–] mombun24_7@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’ve purchased Apple Care after I cracked the screen on my iPhone 13 Mini one time and there was no issue. I had only had the phone for like 2 days so I was still within the timeframe to set it up.

I bought a $20 hard case from Amazon with integrated screen and lens protector for my 15 Pro Max when I got it. Accidentally dropped it on to a wooden floor and thankfully no damage whatsoever to the phone. So I’d recommend getting a case.
