I'm hoping r/gunners can be reformed too. And r/soccer.
Good luck with reddevils. I'm not a United fan but I want to see all communities grow on Lemmy! Football subs are what I spend much of my time in on Reddit.
After just getting started learning to do my own car maintenance, definitely the subreddit dedicated to my model of car
/r/apolloapp
I definitely miss knowledge stuff like r/eli5 r/nostupidquestion r/space r/science r/todayilearned
I browsed reddit a lot learning new stuff everyday while drinking my morning tea. But the thing I miss the most are the comments. So many posts got debunked or verified or explained even more with sources in the comments. Because of course there is a guy or a girl somewhere learning all about one type of drywall installation for 30+ years telling everyone why this wall installation in the gif can only be in 5 mile radius in Norway.
I'm definitely going to miss the true crime/unresolved mystery/paranormal subreddits. I loved the CreepyAskReddit curation.

Thatβs how these things work. Reddit took its time. I truly think that Lemmy will benefit from apps that make the experience accessible.
I miss the Apple related subreddits, that community hasnβt really seemed to move over yet.
I am going to miss just a lot of the lighthearted stuff that gave me an escape from work: HighQualityGIFs, WallStBets, funny, holdmycosmo, etc
/AskAnAmerican - It's interesting to see what the rest of the world doesn't get about us.
Emulation-related subreddits, for one.
I'm really going to miss /r/writingprompts, I've written a lot of stuff for them over the years. Sadly I don't see a replacement popping up here yet and their mods also didn't bother with the blackout protest.
The vinyl releases sub. It's how I built my collection.
Some of the industry specific ones like supply chain or logistics or even insurance were fun to lurk, and get a sense of what people in the industry think of those outside it
Really gonna miss the discussion threads for pretty much any (current-ish) tv show, always my go to after finishing an episode. Also asksciencefiction was a fun one.
I'm going to miss r/datasets, r/selfhosted and other subreddits that allowed me to tap into accessible niche knowledge. I'm sure there are subs I had not yet discovered, but a lot of the information they collected over the years may be gone. I hope those communities will find their way to Lemmy and rebuild.
FWIW, selfhosted does have a sort of "best of" list on GitHub at: https://github.com/awesome-selfhosted/awesome-selfhosted
A lot of the smaller communities, and political ones.
And I'll miss the history, like, we have subreddits going years back. Subreddits full of stories and whatnot.
Hopefully it kinda mulls over in a few days, I dont really see it resulting in anything too permanent. Though I'm often wrong.
I think I will miss r/peoplefuckingdying, had a few laughs with that one.
Iβll definitely miss r/worldbuilding. Lots of people making cool stuff on there.
r/perfectlycutscreams and r/nosleep
r/BestofRedditorUpdates I fall asleep reading posts, it's bad (edit, thankfully someone made one here /c/bestupdates)
r/PersonOfInterest because it's my favorite tv show, I'm really due for a rewatch when I think about it
r/houseplants and r/food. I loved browsing aimlessly through all the pictures and seeing pets in the background.
r/cfb. That sub is so fun during the college football season, even in the off-season it's an entertaining place. It will be sorely missed.
Going to miss the ask reddit and all the outdoor subs what's this animal ,snake ,spider, and some have subs as well ___
