Hey all, I'm currently a bassist in a shoegaze band and thought it'd be neat to have a community here on Lemmy as well since the one on Reddit is fairly active.

Feel free to share music, discuss the history/lore, or anything else related to shoegaze. Any adjacent genre (dream pop, post-punk, grunge, etc) is also welcome!

Dude, thanks for setting this up and being somewhat active. r/shoegaze was a big pit for me to checkout new bands. I'll try to do my part here 🫡 😅

Hey welcome! And yeah I was on r/shoegaze a lot as well. Hoping more folks will flock here.

I do know that there's another shoegaze community on lemmy.world, it doesn't seem that active but I've subscribed to it just in case.
