According to iphone this is a shaggy ink cap/lawyer's wig/shaggy mane.

Looked exactly like a tongue emerging from the soil..

Found these while leading a field trip today!

New to mushrooming, but my late son wanted to be a mycologist and so I always look for them now. Found this one this morning on a fallen cottonwood log on the banks of the Rio Grande.

Found in a park in Oregon

I found a bunch of these tiny mushrooms along a trail in Idaho.

Not sure what they are. Found in Chicago

There were multiple of these growing on the bark of a... beech tree, I believe. In the Netherlands.

At the time I thought it was some type of lichen, but now I think I might be either an Hypoxylon or an Annulohypoxylon from searching for similar images.
