Nickelodeon has released the first look at the upcoming animated series “Avatar: Seven Havens,” the sequel series to the popular shows “Avatar: The Last Airbender” and “The Legend of Korra.”

The artwork was revealed at San Diego Comic Con on Thursday, where “Avatar” celebrated its 20th anniversary.

• Will consist of 26 half-hour episodes over 2 seasons

• Follows Earthbending twins after a world-shattering disaster where one discovers she’s the new Avatar after Korra

I know, it's not the books. Not even close, but someone finally made a series. It was painful at times, but it grew on me. And now... it's done. Worse still, I've learned it was cancelled.

I feel so sad. I wanted to see where it went. But alas, another show cancelled.

Well... I've been wanting to re-read the 15 books. Maybe now is the time.
