Hi, when I joined Lemmy, I wanted to highlight the artistic side of what is otherwise a very tech- and political-centric social network. I'm hoping this list of art and design related communities will help people in finding a place to belong. Check the notes in the comments for more meta info about this megathread.

  • Give and receive constructive criticism with grace
  • Take responsibility and apologize to those affected by our mistakes and learn from these experiences

Examples of unacceptable behaviours:

Pour dépasser son statut d’enseigne et identifier facilement les marques composant désormais les différents aspects de son offre, le groupe Kiabi s’offre un nouveau logo: un "K" stylisé qui s’invite sur les logos de l’ensemble de ses entités.

Sur les réseaux sociaux, Kiabi communique sur sa nouvelle image de marque et son nouveau logo. L’enseigne textile semble adopter une stratégie proche de celle de Decathlon qui appartient elle aussi à l'Association Familiale Mulliez.

Adland's misdiagnosis of its own creative malaise shows exactly why we need more critics writing more 'thought pieces'

“It is very much more difficult to talk about a thing than to do it,” wrote Oscar Wilde in The Critic as Artist. Adland has a way of proving him right every day.

The latest example comes in the form of a campaign by D&AD, alongside a podcast featuring the creative director behind the campaign—Nils Leonard of Uncommon.

Let’s take each in turn.

The Story Behind AI Banana

Picture this: It’s a regular Tuesday afternoon, and I’m sitting in front of my laptop, staring at the screen like I’ve done a hundred times before. But today’s different. Today, I’m no longer at a tech giant, hustling through endless meetings and coding sessions. Nope, today, I’m staring at my own product—AI Banana.

Let me back up for a second. You probably know me as JsonChao, that guy who went from a no-name college to climbing the corporate ladder at a Big Tech company. After four years of soul-sucking meetings and the usual grind, I hit 32, and… well, I got laid off.

So there I was—unemployed, with a family to feed, bills to pay, and an uncertain future ahead. Did I panic? Of course. But instead of diving into despair, I decided to take a different route. I decided to do something fun.

I’ve always been into tech, building things, and improving people’s lives with smart solutions. But it was time to make something that people actually enjoy. No corporate nonsense. Just something simple, effective, and creative.

That’s when AI Banana was born. Here’s the story.

What is AI Banana? 🍌

In short: AI Banana is a new-generation AI-powered image editing platform. It combines cutting-edge AI technology with a user-friendly interface, designed to make professional-level image editing as easy as peeling a banana.

I know, I know. It sounds like another “AI-powered” product, right? But hear me out. With AI Banana, you get to enjoy super-fast, super-easy image edits without needing to download any complicated software or become a Photoshop wizard. Just upload your image, choose what you need (background removal, image enhancement, style conversion, etc.), and boom—you’re done.

What Can AI Banana Do? 🤔

  • One-click Background Removal Let’s be real—how often do you find yourself struggling with background removal in your photos? With AI Banana, simply upload the image, and let AI do the hard work. Whether you’re dealing with messy backgrounds or wanting to make a product photo pop, this is a game-changer.

  • Smart Background Replacement Want to replace that boring white background with something fresh? AI Banana can swap out backgrounds instantly—whether it’s a sleek color, a beautiful landscape, or an artsy design.

  • Artistic Style Transfer If you’ve ever wanted to turn your photos into something out of an art gallery, this is for you. With just a click, AI Banana can turn your picture into an oil painting, watercolor art, or even a cartoon. Creativity at your fingertips.

  • Super-Resolution Image Enlargement Need to enlarge an image without losing quality? No problem. Our AI can enhance image resolution, making it clearer and sharper than ever before.

  • Smart Photo Restoration Old photos looking a little rough around the edges? AI Banana can restore faded or damaged pictures, bringing back the original colors and details. It’s like magic, but with AI.

  • AI-Generated Creative Effects Not sure how to add that extra “wow” factor to your photo? AI Banana can generate a variety of creative effects, making every image stand out. Perfect for social media posts, ads, or just personal fun.

Who’s This For? 🎯

  • E-commerce Owners: Easily clean up product images and make them look professional in no time.
  • Content Creators: Whether you’re a YouTuber, Instagrammer, or blogger, create eye-catching visuals that’ll grab your audience’s attention.
  • Designers: Save time on basic image edits so you can focus on more complex, creative work.
  • Photographers: Give your photos a professional touch without spending hours on post-production.

Why AI Banana? 🧐

Look, I know what you’re thinking: “Another AI tool? Is it really that easy?” Yes. Yes, it is. AI Banana doesn’t just help you save time—it empowers you to create amazing images with little effort. No need for complicated software. No endless learning curves. You open the website, upload an image, and get results instantly.

And the best part? It’s totally free to start. We offer a daily free quota for users to test out all the magic. Want unlimited access and advanced features? We've got that too, with affordable paid options.

How to Get Started? 🚀

  1. Go to the Website: AI Banana
  2. Upload Your Image: Whether it’s a product shot, a portrait, or a meme you need to fix, just drag and drop!
  3. Choose Your Function: Background removal, enhancement, or whatever you need—AI Banana makes it quick.
  4. Download & Share: Get your image back in seconds, ready to be posted, shared, or sold.

The Real Talk 🤐

I’m not going to pretend that AI Banana is going to change the world. It won’t. But it might just make your life a little easier, especially when it comes to creating content quickly and professionally. It’s simple, efficient, and, dare I say, fun.

As a former tech refugee, building this product is my way of making something cool that people actually need. If you’re looking for a fast, easy, and affordable way to improve your images, I invite you to give AI Banana a shot.

After all, at the end of the day, we’re all looking for that little dopamine hit when creating. And why not get it from something that actually works?

Ready to Try? 🍌

Head over to AI Banana, give it a spin, and start creating! If you love it, share it with your friends. If you have any suggestions, let me know—I’ve got plenty of time on my hands right now. 🙏

Welcome to AI Banana. Let’s make design as simple as peeling a banana. 🍌

Let me know what you think! 😄 If you have any feedback or need any help, feel free to reach out.

Ce mardi 11 novembre, le collectif Black Lines vient encore de frapper un grand coup à Nantes avec une fresque antimilitariste.

Sinon on manque d'un flair streetart peut-être.
