Canadian Football League

Note: the link is to a ranking of these uniforms, which is objectively incorrect but at least there are pictures.

Back in 2014, the CFL unveiled alternate "Signature" uniforms for each team. They ranged from "WTF" to "spectacular," and I think I'd rather leave it to the group to decide which are which.

The Redblacks were originally supposed to have plaid helmets to go with these uniforms, but from what I remember there was some kind of production issue or something, and they were never produced.

I don't actually think this has come up here yet, but flag football will be part of the 2028 Olympics, and former Winnipeg/Ottawa coach Paul LaPolice will be coaching the Canadian men's team. There will also be a women's team, coached by University of Montreal head coach Rachel Lessard.

The most significant change will add protections for defenceless receivers. A 15-yard penalty and an automatic first down will now be called when a hit is delivered at or below the knees of a player who is in the act of catching a pass while in a vulnerable position. This protection does not exist if the receiver leaves his feet and jumps while catching the pass.

It's been so long without a Lions game to watch, and so long to go until the Lions play again. I can only watch so much old games on YouTube, I need a new game to watch.
