There was some discussion of this on Reddit, more than once, but I don’t want to log in there to dig up discussions, so…

Can anyone here recommend an electrolyte mix or tablet that you’ve used to better assist muscle recovery after intense activity? For me it’s usually hiking, and I do get pretty intense muscle soreness for a day or two after.

Saw the post asking for an icon yesterday so I made this thing.

The blood donation lady asked me if I was hydrated and I said I think so. She asked how much I drank and was surprised to hear I usually drink 4L before noon

Got to be honest, I am not a true hydro homie, but if I was doomscrolling and a previous hyrdohommies post came up, it reminded me to drink water. So thanks hydro homies!

Freeze a 1/3 filled bottle overnight, and then you have one giant ice cube so when you fill the rest with water you get icy cold refreshing water all day long.

I am a cook and this has been a literal lifesaver for me at work in the summer.

I usually carry either a 40 oz or a 64 oz: Gotta stay hydrated.

I really hope this pans out. The fact that the powder can be reclaimed and re-used is pretty awesome.

The last time my eye was caught by a low-tech purification system, it was when an engineer in Tibet or Nepal figured out a way to use the reflective interior of oxygen bottles discarded by mountain climbers and sunlight. They set up a runnel system that used UV exposure, it took several hours but it was very clever and required very little work or purchased material.
