Is this Instance Down?

Lemmy is running but all pages present an error message. The site is wholly unusable.

Considering this community is hosted by infosec.pub, it will be interesting to see who sees this post. I suspect only sdf.org folks will see this.

Since yesterday night, every few hours the instance seems to throw the message "500 Internal Server Error", and today also it started showing "504 Gateway Time-out".

Kbin.Earth had the error 500 once yesterday night too, so maybe an issue with DNS, provider or similar? Don't use it as much so haven't seen any errors since.

I wonder who will even be able to see this post since this community is hosted on infosec.pub. Just slrpnk.net folks, or others?

I see that someone posted there just 11 hours ago, so it may be temporary.

I was also able to post just now, but I guess mbin masks quite well the case of the host node being offline because it posted fine, probably just to a fedia.io cache of dabradio.

I get a 502 from the website. I think it's been down for a few days.

Server is running, but you are greeted with an error.

lemmyonline.com is dead, yet this community came up in a search. Anyone know the history? Is lemmyonline.com perhaps new and access restricted? Or old but dead with residual ghosts?

Very disturbing that this instance vanished spontaneously, like so many small instances do. We don’t even have read access to the content.

The rumor is they are looking to come back as a platform I had not heard of (piefed). Unclear why that could not be explored in parallel to running slrpnk.net.

They have given gratis shell access going back well over a decade. Shame to see it end.

It’s back online with not a peep from the admin as to what happened. Logins work only via the web UI, but it just gives a non-stop stream of “401 the access token is invalid” popups.
