Summary
Lt. Frank Drebin Jr.—played by Liam Neeson—follows in his late father’s absurd footsteps when he’s assigned to crack a bizarre murder case tied to a tech mogul, just as the Police Squad unit faces disbandment. It was showing in my area so I went there with a couple of friends.

It's such a good movie, from the very first one-take shot with the feather and the soundtrack playing, to the end after all the events that happen to the main character.

The movies is quite long (2h20), but there's always something happening.

Acting is as solid as we remembered it.

It definitely aged well.

In light of recently rewatching the South Korean action thriller Ballerina (2023) after viewing the 2025 Ballerina film from the John Wick universe, it becomes evident that these two works, despite sharing a common title, diverge sharply in tone, thematic ambition, and stylistic execution.

Happy Gilmore 2 may not live up to the razor-sharp cult classic status of its predecessor but offers a unique blend of warmhearted sentiment and self-aware silliness. It wrestles earnestly with themes of grief and perseverance while indulging in the kind of over-the-top celebrity cameos and callbacks that Sandler aficionados crave.
