This pulls and merges other calendars from around town like Democracy 309, River City Rainbow Collective, the UU Church, Peoria Park District.

With the goal being that, without logging into anything you can open the page and have something social and/or political to do outside the house every day

Peoria Stadium, 315 E. War Memorial Dr., Peoria, IL 61614

Peoria 50501

No kings

Peoria 50501 is a branch of the 50501 Movement, a grassroots national effort made up of everyday Americans from all walks of life who stand for democracy, and who stand against the authoritarian actions of the Trump Administration and an all-too compliant Congress. We are a peaceful, nonviolent resistance movement, calling on our government to uphold the Constitution and end Executive overreach. We are of, by, and for the people!

Meet our “new” 1907 Hinners Pipe Organ!
Date: May 4, 2025
Time: 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Location: Generation Building

We will be joined by members of the Peoria Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. You’ll be able to explore and hear the beautiful sounds made by this locally-made-in-Pekin organ which was removed from a closed church in Wisconsin and reassembled and restored by Buzard Pipe Organ Builders and Wheels O’ Time Museum volunteers. It’s a spectacular new addition to our Generations Building!

Transcript follows for screen readers " Hands off our democracy Saturday, April 19 12 - 2pm CDT Peoria Water Street and NE Washington Gather in parking lot (Peoria public parking lot- Hamilton Blvd) we will march together through downtown to stand up for our rights! "

Editor's note: water Street and Washington appear to be parallel, I think they're referring to this parking lot but please correct me if I'm wrong https://osm.org/go/ZUFx3zOF-?m

Peorians came out in droves yesterday as part of the coordinated nationwide Hands-Off protests. A crowd 400 strong showed up and stretched along one of the cities busiest roads and said NO to this fascist regime! We the people will fight like hell to save democracy! Let’s keep up the momentum! With mass boycotts and work strikes and protests we can hit our oligarchical ruling class right where it hurts, and take our power back!

First Thursday of every month, 6-8 pm, looks like they have passes for $15, cheaper than the usual all-day passes.

The people of Peoria came out strong for the People's March yesterday. Over 170 of us marched down Glen Avenue to shout truth to power and hear from many wonderful speakers in the community. We're not going back!
