So shortly before Trump had a rally in Michigan there was a murder done by an immigrant who has been here since he was a child. A "dreamer". He got in trouble a few times and was ordered deported. Latino on Latina crime. In a realtionship. The victim's name was Ruby Garcia.

He politicized this event to demonize immigrants with a backdrop of a bunch of acab-3 frothingfash LAW AND ORDER!

In doing so he claimed he talked to the victim's family. - He did not.

This also triggered a Republican anti immigrant DC stink tank to attempt to label Kent County where it happened as a "sanctuary city" to amplify political points - It is not.

The perp also ended up taking refuge in a church. The church took him in not knowing about the murder. Just he really fucked up and knows his family wouldn't take him. Stayed the night. Then called to confess from the church and turn himself in.

meow-popcorn The entire dramatization that the Republican media and establishment aparstus now has a some egg on their face, including trump-anguish.

And now it might discourage immigrants from reporting abuse

U.S. District Judge Cormac J. Carney on Thursday sentenced Tyler Laube to time served, totaling 35 days he had spent in pretrial custody.

Prosecutors had recommended a six-month sentence.

Laube pleaded guilty last year to a misdemeanor charge for repeatedly punching a journalist — identified only as F.T. — who was covering the Huntington Beach rally.

In his plea agreement, Laube admitted to associating with members of the Rise Above Movement, which represented itself as a “combat-ready, militant group of a new nationalist white supremacy and identity movement.”

Judge Aileen Cannon ruled that the former president cannot escape prosecution by arguing that the Presidential Records Act allowed him to claim secret government material as his own property.

the political problem of “everybody hates us and is sick of our bullshit” is historically very difficult to overcome
