I've been rewatching Slow Horses. I remember that feeling I had during season 2 when it clicked for me. It just felt like there was something going on under the surface. And if you're paying attention, you could just smell it. Season 1 wasn't bad, it just didn't suck me in. It just felt like they were trying to show you how smart the show makers in addition to telling a smart and subtle story. Season 2 did away with that pretense and introduced some smart, subtle baddies.

Excellent series, just finished season 1.

Great pacing and acting. Got into the social politics on the field, and added in some cartel spice.

Toward the end of season 1 there was a bunch of unnecessary relationship drama, but still great overall.

Billy Bob Thornton really sells this series.

Great film, lots of symbolism and a family story to boot

The Devil's Advocate (marketed as Devil's Advocate) is a 1997 American supernatural horror film directed by Taylor Hackford, written by Jonathan Lemkin and Tony Gilroy, and starring Keanu Reeves, Al Pacino and Charlize Theron. Based on Andrew Neiderman's 1990 novel, it is about a gifted young Florida lawyer invited to work for a major New York City law firm. As his wife becomes haunted by frightening visions, the lawyer slowly realizes that the firm's owner John Milton is the Devil.

Takano is utterly and completely inept, except for her demeanor exuding competence. Hiwada is competent, except for his anxious, timid demeanor.

The two meet as they join the same company and end up working together, with their combined qualities resulting in amusing successes.

Taylor Lautner is set to star in a very self-aware(wolf) TV series.

Variety has learned exclusively that Lautner will star in and executive produce the scripted series “Taylor Lautner: Werewolf Hunter,” which is currently in development at Amazon MGM Studios. The project was brought to Amazon by Tornante, the independent studio behind shows like “BoJack Horseman” and the Amazon series “Undone.” Daisy Gardner is the creator and showrunner.

The official logline for the series states:

“After wrapping the final ‘Twilight’ film, Taylor Lautner vanished from the spotlight. Fans speculated, tabloids theorized—but the truth is wilder than fiction. Taylor wasn’t just taking a mental health break. He was preparing for his real calling…Taylor Lautner: Werewolf Hunter. Playing himself, Taylor is drawn into a secret society of werewolf trackers who need his unique expertise. As he navigates his double life—Hollywood actor by day, supernatural warrior by night—Taylor must wrestle with the ultimate irony: fighting the very creatures that made him famous. Between saving the world, reviving his career, and falling in love, he faces the ultimate question—what happens when your biggest role becomes your greatest enemy?”

It's a show about a few detectives that investigate strange cases that end up involving people with special abilities, or specs, as they call them. Basically superpowers emerging from mutations more or less like in other media.

The way it's written and filmed are what set it apart though. Some of it's absolutely cheesy as one can imagine, but with enough intrigue and charm that may keep you watching.

Feb 12 (Reuters) - Media giant Paramount Global's (PARA.O) channels, including CBS and Nickelodeon, will be unavailable on YouTube TV starting Thursday after the two companies failed to reach a contract renewal, both parties said.

Paramount said on Wednesday that YouTube TV was attempting to pressure it into accepting "one-sided terms" and "non-market demands" that could lead to the removal of Paramount's networks from YouTube TV.

"We have made a series of fair offers to continue our long-standing relationship with Google's YouTube TV," a Paramount spokesperson said, adding that it will continue its efforts to reach a new agreement.
