I feel like asking "what's your best travel tip" is beating a dead horse. What are some location specific tips you have that can greatly improve one's trip or keep things going smooth?

Just had a horrific experience with priceline.

Booked half board for 2 adults and a child through them. My spidery senses tingled so I checked with the hotel and they'd only booked for 2 adults, and only breakfast.

Try as I might I could neither get them to comprehend the issue, or accept fault (preferring to blame the hotel somehow).

Long story short: don't be like NotJohn, don't use priceline - your stress levels will thank you

I'm in northern Spain and have to take a train to Madrid to get to a flight. But I arrive to the train station too late at 11:40 so booking is not an option since most places check in are at 12:00 and I'd probably not get in time.

Would it be too dangerous to stay up all night on the street?
