Try the motioneye integration. Reliable recording on motion and it stores the videos on your HA instance. You can set notification automations when something happens. For example, I have an automation that notifies all of our phones and messages me on matrix when motion occurs on a specific camera.
Time to start a frigate vs motioneye vs blueiris thread!
Frigate is great if you want unreliable human and object detection. Blue Iris is on windows so that is an automatic DQ. Motioneye just works.
