I've been trying to play Guild Wars but the UI and the lack of direction is a bit confusing and frustrating for me. Does Guild Wars allow add-ons/mods? If so are there any User Interface mods that you'd recommend?

UI mods are not a thing, no. The best you can get is some overlays that put additional stuff on the screen.
