Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday signaled that he was moving ahead with U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposal to transfer the Palestinian population out of Gaza, calling it “the only viable plan to enable a different future” for the region.

HIV/AIDS is a horrible virus but it won't kill you. It just sets you up to die from other things. Neoliberalism is HIV and fascism is pneumonia. Trying to address AIDS by focusing on pneumonia isn't going to be very productive.

If it wasn't Trump it would be someone else. What's happening here is happening all over the world in countries that don't have Trump. One of the few that escaped the rightward lurch is Mexico, one of very few countries to reject their neoliberals and elect two actual progressives in a row.

There is no end of bad things to be said about Trump, and there are plenty of people saying them. But, blaming Trump will either fall on deaf ears, or it will be preaching to the choir. What I don't see is what you hope to gain from it. If it was going to make Democrats more electable then it would have worked by now. When Trump is gone, there will be another. As it stands now, we will lose.
