Is the Switch even powerful enough to emulate Gamecube? Or are they porting them?

I was emulating the GameCube on a athlon64 15 years ago; the switch is underpowered but not that underpowered

I used to bullseye womp rats in my T-16 back home. They're not much bigger than two meters.
