You should try GrayJay. You can get your YouTube and PeerTube subscriptions in the same feed. Along with a dozen other platforms.

My issue is finding peertube content.

"Do you want video on linux?"

"No."

"Alright. Do you want videos on.....linux?"

"NO!"

"Ok, hmmmm......Do you want these 8000+ videos from Veronica making linux content?"

"NO!!!"

"Ok......Veronica just posted a new video 14 seconds ago. I'm just going to leave this here for you."

leaves peertube

Yes, discoverability is probably the single biggest problem on PeerTube. If you can be bothered you can post/search the PeerTube community for some suggestions that might match your interests.

If that’s the solution… then the project has already failed.

Well, it hasn't, because it can be fixed...

Take a look over at !peertube@lemmy.world And our sister community: !peertube@lemmy.wtf

There's a wide variety of content that is out there.

And if you yourself found something, feel free to post it up on either community!

You can also do that in Tubular, if you prefer a FOSS option

Tubular did not work for me at all.

That's what I use. The peertube plugin wasn't great.

It doesn't support login/interaction but subscriptions and searches work fine.
