Hello there,

I don’t know if it is a Voyager (2.34.0) problem or iOS (18.4.1) issue but since very recently, 2 weeks max, the app refresh itself almost every time you go back to it.

If you stay on a feed like home or local, scrolled down to older posts (order by newest), when you go back to Voyager 85% of the time it will reload and go back to the 1st post of the feed, thus losing your progression in the scroll addiction.

It also happens if you are inside a post instead of a feed. It happens whether you:

  • "alt-tab" (swipe up) to another application then come back later
  • Keep Voyager on the foreground and just lock your phone with the power button to enjoy life, then come back later.

It looks a lot like this bug report for android: https://github.com/aeharding/voyager/issues/1789

As I said, I don’t know if it is an iOS update or Voyager update that caused that, but it is annoying to lose your position in the doom scrolling addiction.

It is a good cure to that addiction tho.

You could try setting your app to "mark posts read on scroll" and "hide read posts" as a workaround of sorts... Then when it refreshes you won't see the same posts you've already seen.

I have not tried it myself, so I don't know how well it works or how annoying it is if you want to go back and find something again.
