Yeah I don't buy this for a second. He might not be prominent anymore but until the government stops working for his explicit benefit I doubt he's on the outs.
They'll never say that he's finished loud enough for him to really notice, I suspect. Not while he's the richest man in the world. As long as he's willing to throw money at them, though at least pretend to be his "friends." I mean it's not like we're talking about people with actual souls here.
