I can peel a potato in such a way, that the peel stays in one long piece.

Tips for those who want to share in my skill:

  • Chose a convex potato, with two almost but not entirely flat sides
  • Start on a the flattest side an peel in a short line along it, turn 180 and spiral around the peeled section until you are done
  • avoid sharp corners, they weaken the strip
  • the first and last turns are unavoidably sharp and therefore the hardest
  • the wider the strip is, the shorter in needs to be

Lol, thanks for the tips. I'll try, but I think the funny part will be when everybody realizes my fun fact was a complete lie. My potatoes are usually 40% lighter by the time I'm done with them 😂

I do this almost by accident most of the time, just when peeling potatoes regularly
