That violence won't cease in the absence of a government. On the contrary, it'll get much worse. See, for example, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capitol_Hill_Occupied_Protest#During_the_zone

One thing I think we can all agree on is that strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.
