What home invader Rings the doorbell? And he shot him as he was driving away. This defense is shit.
It happens more often than you'd think these days. They pretend to be a dasher, the police, a maintenance worker, a tree trimming service. Anything to get in the door, especially if they're already planning on violence.
Obviously you still shouldn't shoot at people just for being in your driveway or at your door though.
