no he deserves jail, the death penalty would be too merciful
They can spend decades on death row going through appeals. I would be content with him being in jail knowing the day of his execution. It's not going to happen but that does seem like a fitting end

I generally am against capital punishment. This would be an exception
executing people for political reasons or crimes is facism, no exceptions

just because they're a bad person doesn't mean it's ok to kill them
And the state executing a convicted criminal doesn't mean it's an inherently fascist action. Perhaps you could make the argument if you're an anarchist or coming at it from that angle, but I'd disagree.

a mass killer can also be stopped by putting them in jail, and even better if they get therapy so they can rejoin society as a better person
